QUESTION: WHAT HAPPENS TO BIRDS DURING HURRICANES?

(See the September 3, 2008 posting on "ENATURE.COM" link below)

ANSWER: Dear Ones, birds that are migrating are the ones most harmed by difficult weather. Of course, the hurricanes are the worst by far in this situation.

Sea birds are ones to know of the approaching weather that does not bid well for them. Therefore, they tend to seek places away from the storms. The unfortunate sea birds are the ones who are disoriented by the energies of a large storm, whether by a hurricane, or generally bad weather at sea. They are ones very energy sensitive. The changes in magnetic fields of the storms, often cause them to be disoriented and they end up in places that are not hospitable. Or they are so damaged by the storm, in trying to get to a safe place, that they do not survive.

If you are in a place, where birds end up on the beaches, it is a goodness to put food out for them. If they are weak, they may survive by having food nearby that they do not have to forage.

There are many birds that escape totally by flying wide of these storms and simply floating on a calmer sea. So, there are far fewer that die, compared to what could be so.
